Over the next few weeks, many of us will run ourselves ragged trying to track down new clothes, backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils and other assorted necessities for the kids' back-to-school needs.

And while Happy & Healthy may not be able to help you with those items, we can help with other important parts of your school's fall schedule -- the annual fundraisers.

As frequent visitors know, we usually fill this section with holiday notes and information.  Well, August is sadly lacking in "official" holidays so we thought we would include some not-so-official holidays for you -- which August seems to have plenty of!  Who knows, maybe some of these will catch on...

It seem the month itself has a really mixed bag of titles: National Golf Month, National Eye Exam Month, Foot Health Month, National Water Quality Month, Romance Awareness Month, National Catfish Month and Peach Month. 

Now romance and golf are all well and good (though maybe not at the same time), but around here, food is our real passion.  So we found a little site that lists food holidays and nothing but food holidays.  And considering that our current contest (see above -- hint, hint) is based on recipes using our products, why not browse the list for a bit of inspiration!
